Simply put, this show is amazeballs (HIGHLY recommended).
Nina Arianda shines like a blistering star. Hugh Dancy is really good too (but sorry dude - Nina explodes & sizzles on the stage).
While I knew a bit about the origins of the play (and that Nina has received HIGH praise - also, here is an interview with both performers), I was unaware of how the staging was going to be presented.
Within the first few minutes it was hilarious, and then slowly (almost unknowingly) it became more intense…and then more intense (and even more as time literally flew by - FYI, it’s only a 90 minute play w/no intermission).
It TOTALLY blows me away that these two actors perform this play eight times a week - and holy SHIT, twice on Wed & Sat…typical, I know, for a Broadway production, but to go through the emotional thrill ride that this play is would completely demolish me if I had to do it even once (HINT - this is why I am not on Broadway).
PEOPLE…try to make it a priority and see this play. If anything, it’ll get you out of your own head for awhile and into some wildly emotional exchanges between two excellent performers).
