PJ Harvey @ T5, April 19 (quick review)…
If I want to see a ‘performance’ I usually wouldn’t be thinking of going to a concert (rock show)…and this show was certainly more of a ‘performance piece’ than a rock concert. Admittedly, it is the first time I’ve seen Polly Jean live but I expected there to be at least some rockin’ out. Nope…none at all (well, maybe a little). With her feather headdress via Cher and origami-like white dress, PJ sang, guitar-ed and zither-ed her way through the barely 90-minute show. I believe they played the entire new album plus about a half dozen ‘older’ tunes. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Could it have been better? IMHO, yes. Would I see her again? Maybe.

You wanna go to a rock show? You wanna dance? For both, simply go to an LCD Soundsystem show. Non-stop hits, grooves, and smiles (from me). Night #2 at Terminal 5 was frawesome (Flickr set here). If you can’t see them @ T5, they are DJ’ing after their Saturday show @ Highline Ballroom.
